Rice (Paddy)

Rice is obtained from paddy. It is a kind of corn. It is our main food. It is one of the chief agricultural products of the world. It is the most important of all crops in our

country.

Rice grows well in hot and moist climate. So it is found in plenty in Bangladesh, Burma,China and Japan. It is also grow highbreed rice to get more production. The production of rice is a difficult task. It needs much care, hard labour and a lot of water and fertilizer.

There are two systems of paddy cultivation - sowing and transplantation. The harvest of rice is difficult task. Ripe paddy is cut, brought home and separate from the straw with the help of a local agriculture machine or by using cows and bullocks. afterwards, it is dried in the sun.

Bangladesh produces four kinds of rich. These are aus, amon, Boro and IRRI. Amon is the best of all kinds grown here. Amon is sown in the rainy season and harvested in winter. the dried paddy is husked in mills. Thus we get rich. It is called atap rice. To get siddha rice one has to boil the paddy before drying in the sun. The dried paddy is hushed in mills. Thus we get rice.

The rice filed is first ploughed well. It is then harrowed to make the soil loose and level. The seeds of paddy are sown in it.

Rice is also grown by transplanting the seedlings of paddy. Paddy grows and ripe in four or five month. Ripe paddy looks golden and beautiful.

We get boiled rice by boiling, sunning and husking the grains of paddy. We get sunned or atap rice by sunning and husking the paddy without boiling it.

Rice is the main food of the people of Bangladesh. Muri (fried rice), Khai (fried paddy) and Chira (flattened paddy) are prepared from rice or paddy. Cakes are made from rice flour. Straw is used for feeding cattle and for many other purpose. The husk is used as fuel.

Our farmers prefer rice to other crops to grow. people fulfilled their demand of food by eating mainly rice. So rice has a great demand. Any failure of rice production causes famine in the country. Every farmer make a very hard job and make this rice to be a proper responsibility. When they can't poliute the paddy we didn't eat any other things to live. This paddy our main food itself not have Ulysses we are die for not eat.

Their many of farmers have very hard workpiece her wife, son, daughter, brother and sister all they work in filled and make golden rice. Its a very hard work. We are in outside of village but we eat rice, where it go for us. The makers of who, this make those farmers and be a happy life. Our prime minister have saw this the rice price provide in farmers. When we help help, they help us.

So we should try to increase the production of rice. We can do it by introducing modern method of cultivation.
